Plug valve is a valve which uses the plug with through hole as the opening and closing parts. The plug rotates with the valve stem to realize the opening and closing action. Since the movement between the sealing faces of the plug valve has the action of wiping, and when it is fully opened, it can completely prevent contact with the flowing medium, so it can also be used for the medium with suspended particles. Another important feature of the plug valve is that it is easy to adapt to the multi-channel structure, so that one valve can obtain two, three or even four different flow channels, which reduce the amount of valves and some connecting accessories needed in the equipment, so it simplifies the design of the piping system; In order to expand the application range of plug valve, many new structures have been developed. Oil lubricated plug valve is an important one. The special grease is injected between the taper hole and the plug from the top of the plug to form an oil film to reduce the opening and closing torque and improve the sealing performance and service life. Its working pressure can reach 1500LB, its working temperature can reach 325 ℃, and its diameter can reach 36Ħħ(900mm). There are many kinds of channels for plug valves. The common straight through type is mainly used to cut off the fluid. Three way and four-way plug valves are suitable for fluid reversing.
